Let the holiday shopping begin! – Pasadena Weekendr

You are lucky. Pasadena management and its merchants want to make sure that you have plenty of reasons to keep your groceries close to you, so they have planned some exciting vacation activities.

The City of Pasadena and Visit Pasadena are launching the local “From Pasadena, With Love” vacation shopping campaign to promote the hundreds of local and independent small businesses. The campaign will launch on Small Business Saturday, scheduled for Saturday, November 27, but will be in full swing until December 24.

“From Pasadena, With Love” offers 26 small business docking stations in Pasadena. Buyers can take a chance to win Pasadena branded gifts and experiences. Prizes include tickets to Rose Parade, the Cruel World Music Festival, passes to the Just Like Heaven music festival, family packs to the Kidspace children’s museum and the Pasadena Playhouse.

The giveaway action will shine through 22 blocks of old Pasadena, home to more than 125 enthusiastic independent businesses with unique merchandise, restaurants and services.

These small, local businesses line the streets and alleys of the neighborhood – and it’s probably been a while since you visited your favorite stores and discovered all the new ones.

There are also 50 more businesses that display that independent store spirit, businesses that only offer a few locations and lend themselves to that special vibe of old Pasadena.

And now, hotels like the Courtyard Marriott Hotel Stay and the luxurious Langham Huntington Pasadena as well as its luxurious Pasadena Chuan Spa are also offering gift certificates for stays and tours.

Gift certificates to local restaurants and shops are also available for lucky winners, including meals at Italian Restaurant Gale, Cerveceria Del Pueblo, Coffee & Plants, El Dorado, Elisa B, Float Pasadena, Homage, Koko’s Mediterranean Café, Lucky Baldwin’s, Pasadena Antique Mall, Love Bug & Me, Mercadito Monarca, Remainders Creative Reuse, Walker / Viden Luxury Consignment, April Blooms and the Pasadena Sandwich Company.

Buyers can also earn certificates from Jones Coffee Roasters, Kidspace Children’s Museum, Monica Linda Photography, GLOW Beauty, Spenga Pasadena, Stride Pasadena, Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N’ Waffles, Local Power Washers and The Soap Kitchen.
