Frozen 2, Pride Party, Market Shopping: this weekend at MoCo

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – After several weeks of rain, the weather in Conroe and Montgomery County this weekend will likely be perfect for some outdoor fun.

It’s supposed to be hot, however, with highs expected in the mid-90s, so be sure to drink plenty of water when you go out this weekend.

Temperatures may have you wishing for a little cooler weather, which is perfect as City of Conroe Parks and Recreation is showing its latest film in the park with a screening of Frozen 2 at 8:15 p.m. Friday night at Heritage Park.

There are a plethora of farmer’s markets as well as pop-up shops and fun family events to attend in Montgomery County this weekend, including the Midsummer Market at The Corner Cravings in Conroe. The event, which takes place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature henna tattoos and face painting as well as games, local vendors and food trucks.

June is Pride Month, and Southern Star Brewing Company in Conroe celebrates with a Rocky Horror Pride Party at 6 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature live music from Safe Distance, which will play hits from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and Mr. Porco’s Food Truck. A donation of $ 1 from each pint sale will be given to Texas tie, an organization that works to ensure full equality for LGBTQIA + people in Texas.
